Muscle grows between sessions, not during them

Training is the stimulus; growth happens during recovery. Push hard enough to signal adaptation, then give your body the raw materials and downtime to rebuild bigger. Skimp on recovery and you're revving the engine with the handbrake on — effort without adaptation.
